Harwin Central Mall: The very first store that you come to when you walk from the lobby of the building into the shopping area

Had this sign posted on their door. The shop is run by Muslims.
Feel free to share this with others.

In case you are not able to read the sign below, it says

"We will be closed on Friday, September 11, 2009 to

commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali"

Imam Ali flew one of the planes into the twin towers.

There were no 9/11 terrorists by the name of Ali.
The commemorative is about a martyr killed in 661 AD and is celebrated on the 21st day of Ramadan. Their calendar is a Lunar calendar so the dates change every year and this particular year it just happens to fall on 9/11. There is absolutely no connection with the attack on the US or any of the terrorists associated with that attack.

when the store owner was told how people were misinterpreting the message the sign was re-written to better explain the holy day.
