Help reading primers for pressure

I wouldn't expect to use primers in my Glocks as an indicator that I'm approaching an overpressure situation. Pistol primers can show the signs you asked about. However, in my situation, if those indications happened, I'd have been past max pressure, thus they are not an indicator I can use to check pistol loads as I approach max pressure as I can on my .270.

I know you are baiting me. So go ahead and give me both barrels.

bushy I get the odd primer does the same with the hand held version of auto prime when loading .223 . Its very unnerving trying to get the case out with a primer MASHED into the backend. by the time I feel it happening its too late all I can do to minimize the risk is tip the other primers off the tray make sure the safety glasses are on and grit my teeth. if I lightly deburr the primer pocket with a casemouth deburrer it hardly ever happens.

Elvis...I just yank them off the priming die and resize/decap, reprime and move on.

Chambered...I have NEVER got my "pressure calibrated" thumb caught in this press to know if it can produce 60,000 PSIG...

I should think anyone who has done a lot of reloading has done that a time or two Bushy.
Small Rifle primers in .223 cases seem to do it more often than others with me for some reason.

Yup...I lthink I have seated primers sideways at least once in every caliber I reload. No biggy...Just remove the deformed primer and get on with it.

By The Way. I have tested a few of those "sideways" primers to see if they would fire if struck by a firing pin. Yup to that too.

There's loose bullets on the bench and that open drawer looks a tad askew.

Barrel #1 - The way I read it, Glocks turn into hand grenades long before any signs of overpressure.

Just kidding, of course. Some websites have lots of Glock "fanboys" that are fun to tease (so easy to get a rise out of). Personally, my only dislike of Glocks is that I can never seem to beat them in speed competitions. Of course, I'm a revolver fan - especially single actions.
