I have a post it note on my computer that is un-labeled. It says:
zero @ 13 yards
1" hi @ 50 yards
zero @ 75 yards
1" low @ 100 yards.

I have been looking at 22LR, 22 sub-sonic and 223 ballistics. Any body got an idea of what these trajectories relate to? Damn I hate it when I don't label things!
Thanks OB

Wow - without knowing the scope height above the bore, velocity or
BC of what you are shootng it will be tought to re-create.

That sounds more like a muzzle loader or shot gun slug trajectory to me.

Those elevations certainly don't relate to any of my .223s. I might have guessed .22LR but the drop at 100 yards doesn't appear to be enough. It might come close to my .45-70. Without the data Dawgdad suggests, its hard to guess. I would assume you do not have an unlimited number of guns. What are the choices?

Velocity is really falling off fast post 75 yards... I'm inclined to think shotgun slug as well. Could be a big heavy muzzleloader round... or a pistol round.

Too many options at this point. Do you take notes of other peoples loads? If not then start by making a list of your own guns, you can throw out any of the fast centerfire rifles... then see if any of the slower guns seem to match up with your notes.

OK I got the answer. It's for a 50 cal traditional muzzleloader. On another forum a member told me the zero @ 13 yards jogged his memory. He found it in "A PILGRIMS JOURNEY, Vol 2, Page 282." It said the old tyme shooters zereoed their rifles at 13 yards, this put them on the paper at 75 yards.

So Thanks to all, I got my answer and you all were also on the money with thinking it was a muzzleloader.
Thanks

LOL that just makes it sound like the old timers were lazy butts not wanting to walk 75 yards to see where its hitting.

Thanks OB

That is the exact trajectory I was getting with a 4" 357 Magnum using H110 and a 146 gr Speer semi-jacketed HP. I used that load shooting competition in "Hunter's Pistol" for three years before they told me it was "damaging the targets and I coun't use it anymore". So, I quit competing.

damaging wtf the targets... man that is tooo funny Very Happy its not paint ball ya know...
the old rule of three for rifles around the 3000 fps mark sort of works too and that is a sight in of 26 yrds giving you 3"high at a hundred and good for 250ish. saves walking Sad if you know the close range AFTER sighting in properly at 100yrds. you can re check it by using the close range. but gee shucks my wife bought me a collimetre/boresighter so I just put the x hairs at a predetermaned point and bobs your auncle. Pauls Ireckon thats got to be a reasonable deer load too how would that go in a rifle? I know when I was younger my buddy had a rossi lever and the difference between bought pistol and rifle rounds was very noticable.

Elvis,
The bullet is a bit light for a deer but it would have probably worked well out to 50 yards. It was only 1464 fps at the muzzle and the ballistic coefficient was very poor. It might have worked better from a six inch barrel too.
