Wow. I know that there are good size bucks on Long Island, I just didn't expect to see something like that. I wonder how old the buck was?

Two more Impressive animals. I live on long Island, and drive 3 hours up-state to hunt . I should be staying closer to home it looks like!

Long Island is a tough place to hunt. I did a couple of times, but public access is regulated, you have to check in with the Dept. of environmental conservation (DEC) and they assign you an area to hunt. I didn't hunt the same place twice that year, so you spend more time scouting, than hunting. There is private land , like farms, and vinyards, but unless you know the owners, you can't get on the property. The Pine Barrens (that's what we call them) can be really thick in places and you wouldn't see a deer until you tripped over him. Well, Regards to your mate in Bellmore, I'm a little further East, in Sayville.
