One of the ways I use PointBlank is to consolidate multiple loads and Ladder groups. Say I want to develop a load with a particular bullet and try a few different powders and loads of each of the powders to find that 'best' load. For a given powder, I sometimes shoot the center quad with each powder charge other times I will shoot a group of 3-5 at each of the corner targets. Then when I get back I will transpose them all onto the same PB target (per powder type) to see how they all shoot in relation to each other. That way I can find a load that has consistent grouping with some tolerance for charge and velocity without going to the extreme max load. Currently I just make a load entry for the bullet & Powder then in the target screen notes, I list which bullet hole numbers correspond to which charge.

It would be nice to somehow transfer some of the powder and other Load data to the target session page so that load development comparisons and Ladder groups can be accommodate easier. Maybe in a tabbed format like on the ballistics session would work where one target can be used to show one or multiple bullet groups with each tab added holding the load data for that group of holes.

Here is an initial wish list of features toward that end
o- Ability to add Load tabs associated with the Target page

o- Ability to select a group of items in the shot string and have those items highlighted on the target.

o- Ability to turn on/off individual holes.

o- Also have the group size and Avg velocity recalculated for the selection set that is on or currently showing.

o- Ability to assign different colors to groups of bullet holes - when plotting Ladder groups a different color could be assigned to each powder increment.

can't think of anything else at the moment,
Thanks
SS

I was going to start a new post asking for the powder load data be moved to the target page then I found this one - hey I posted this recommendation!
It's still on my wish list.
I just got done testing a bunch of 38 Spl. 125 JHP loads with 4 different powders. What I do is create the bullet weight as the Load node and then notate the powder data in the target notes. It would be nice to have data tab fields for that to cut down the number of load nodes whenever you change powder charge.

Working on these currently.

I'm adding a checkbox for whether to include the shot in the draw and / calculations. I will also add a color pulldown for those that want to set a unique color.

I am exploring the "Tabbed data fields idea... I'm not sure of a solution currently. I did however, add more load information in the printing of a target.

Good suggestions, I am tackling the easier ones first as they get in quicker for people to use.

Oh and I forgot to discuss the comparison of different loads suggestion. I have an idea on how to do this, but it will take a bit of work to bring together due to how the code is organized internally.

I like this idea though so I hope to get to it soon.

The ability to "disable" individual shots is now in. You can change the color of each individual shot as well. I had to change some things around to support this, I now use a grid view to allow quicker checking / unchecking of each shot.

Now that we allow colors per shot, I had to change the highlight of the shot on the target as it obscured the specified color. It now is a red ring around the selected shot.

I will look into adding a mechanism for comparing different targets next.
