Can you imagine the look on the face of the person at the patent office on that little jewel when it was explained what it does.

Not me... when I dress a deer all of those parts go up through the pelvis and out the stomach hole.

Me either Dallan. You've already got enough to carry. I don't even break the pelvis when taking out the bung hole. And it doesn't require a 12" bowie knife to gut a deer either.

I read a article on this thing somewhere and I think it's supose to break the membrane free you pull out 10 inches or so tie it off with a small tie rap and pull it back through the pelvis. I think I'm not sure though Confused

That's right Joe, and you can use it by cutting around it and pulling it out the back too. I've got one but never used it yet. It makes for good conversation topic in Deer Camp though. LOL

I always cut around the bung hole and tie it off the pucker with string or a piece of skin. I also tie off the bladder before trying to remove the intestines. It can make a mess of thing if either the intestines or the blatter breaks before getting it removed. I always carry a small cord, string and knife sharpener, ,plus a small extra knife in my fanny pack.

I think I saw one of those at my doctor's office. I've never gone back.

It doesn't really matter whether it was "which or witch" doctor. I wouldn't go back either...

I'm with Dallan.
I pull it from the other end of the pelvis.

I never heard of that tool, I'll bet it would work though.

Welcome to the forum Bob.
It's nice to see another Minnesota Boy on HuntingNut.
I could tell that the IQ has gone up around here, now I know why. Very Happy

If you ever get around Forest Lake, let me know and we can get together at the gun club for some shooting.

Eric
