Coyote Hunter, tell me more about the load for your 257. Grains of powder, brass, primer, etc.
What gun are you shooting these Yotes with. I've got a Browning A-Bolt in 257 that loves shooting light, under 90 grains, bullets. I might want to fire this one up after Yotes here in the Southeast.
Many Thanks and stay on em!

Yotebuster –

The load data is below, but I’ll caution you my Ruger has a very long throat and I can’t reach the lands with a bullet that is properly seated inside the neck of the case. If you can reach the lands in your rife you should probably back off my load data.

Rifle – Ruger M77 .257 Roberts, 22” barrel, 1-10 twist (mfg in 1989)
WW ‘+P’ brass @ 2.223”
Hornady 75g V-MAX
46.0g H4895
COL 2.803”
3609fps

In one of your earlier posts you said you were using a "healthy dose of Varget". Do you also have a load developed for the Varget as well??
Thanks again for your reply. I'll use these loads with caution and check the throat length in my gun.
Appreciate your response!

yotebuster -

That comment had to be in reference to my .22-250: 35.0g Varget for 52g Speer/Hornady BTHP bullets, 3579fps. 38.0g for 40g Nosler BT's, 4052fps. In my .257 Roberts 41.8g Varget only gets me 3175fps with the 75g V-MAX.
