What an impressive soldier, I guess if someone was in his sight's they weren't there for long. Snipers have often been looked down upon by other military units, but I was told that during world war 2 a Canadian infantryman's odds of coming home were 3 to 1 against him and a sniper's were 9 to 1 against him, so I guess they had a pretty bada## job to do.

Trakker. I have now the dictionary, but no grammar. When I was sailor 1960-67, poeple was asking;

When I was a little kid, my Dad's best friend was from Wales. I think I stood there with my mouth hanging open in awe every time he spoke. I couldn't understand a thing he said, but my Dad seemed to, of course half of his ancestors were from Scotland so maybe that's why. Those who want to communicate seem to find a way Cheers

Apparently, they teach Gaelic in schools in some of our maritime provinces now because the population base is mainly Scots and Irish descent. I'd love to learn it, still working on my Cree. Language is the base of cultures (so what exactly does that say about English? Very Happy

) so I'm trying to learn the languages of all my ancestors. I've been told there's quite a bit of difference between the Scots and the Irish and that the Welsh are closer to the Irish.....not sure.
