In my 18" Mossy Plinkster mini-sniper I use Remington Golden Bullet 36gr HP, it's rated @ around 1250" p/s or so... probably less in my gun. It aint match ammo but it works OK, sans the occasinal flyer going off in left or right field.
I keep it sighted in about an inch low @ 100y. From 20y out I just hold dead on on crows, rabbits, etc., maybe a scoche low if the target is really small. The PB is about an inch or so from 25-75y w/ a max of 2" high from boreline, if I remember correctly. Those ranges are where I do most of my field shooting.
I'm thinking of changing to a 75y zero then doping the drop in clicks to 100y and putting that info on my scope. Shoots way flatter w/ a 75y zero.
Bullet drop is about 5.5" @ 100y with a 50y zero w/ these.
YMMV! & this is probably more info than ya'll wanna know on my 22LR stuff.
Some shooters at the range during the brake walk out and toss clays onto the 100y berm to shoot w/ center fire rifles. Once they bust one it's open game and I'll clean up the chips w/ my mini-sniper till they are just itty bits.
