These fancy torches are pretty flash and do a good job...but damn, they are God awful expensive.

What is the "damage" on this torch DJ?

Cheers, Vince

I just had a look and it's going for $79.95 at LEGEAR (http://www.legear.com.au/Fenix-PD32-315-Lumens-Flashlight-Australia-NZ-p/fenix-pd32.htm).
I didn't need to pay for mine due to the label on the side that says "Prototype Sample".

Having seen the torch and now the price, I would pay for it if I had to buy it in the future. And having seen this torch I'm thinking about buying the TK70. It has 2200 Lumens for $229.95.

Compared to the LED Lensers 950 Lumens for $649. Ouch

Don't get me wrong, LED Lensers have a nice build and I like their zoom feature. But for the dollars, Fenix is cheaper (the P7 as shown above currently costs $115) for the same or greater light output.

Oh, by the way. The first "quality" torch I bought was an LED Lenser, and was dropped and lost somewhere in a coal mine while I was undertaking firefighting.
I hope it burnt well in the power plant, but the power company didn't give me a discount on my next electricity bill.....
