gelan, not to change the subject or hi-jack you, but I've been told Cor-bon is making 300 Whisper again.

Its nice to know chambered!

But I doubt that they would be on sale downunder.. Sad
Nevermind tho, coz I rarely use factory loads,
beside being too expensive, they might not suit my gun.

It would be cool to have a batch of ammo with 300-WHISPER stamped on the head instead of the usual 223-REM or 221-FB

That's a real cowboy's boot Bushy...well worn, but worn well...I like it mate...and the pistola is a nice addition as well...sorta compliments the picture perfectly....shows it like it is. Could'a been taken 100 years ago.

Gelan...something doesn't look right there mate. There is just too much "tolerance" around that primer seating punch mate.

I can't remember what my Lee 1000 priming station looked like (too long ago), but still...that just doesn't look right to me mate. I would be tempted to drop Lee an email, include your pics, and get an answer of some sort from them on what they think.

Cheers, Vince

Glen- also, keep at least 20 primers in the lollipop so they feed right. The weight of same keeps things from stopping or flipping sideways.

Vince... Mine look the same if you look real close. The difference between my photo and Gelan's is he got real close and I didn't. I've been using mine for around 24 years without a problem.

If I'm loading 50 cases I put 50 primers in the flip tray (lollipop). I use a pencil to keep the primers from spilling down the feed tube during the installation of the shell holder. When I get down to the last primers that will not go on their own I shake the primer tray [gently] and when I'm down to those that no longer move to the shaking I , again, use the pencil to gently persuade them to enter the die. As pictured below.

Wow! Multi-purpose poky-dot lead pencil for keeping a log on paper and corralling primers, vinyl records with RCA’s Dog – this is like a trip ba … Oops, better not go there.

Wait, there is no pistol close by in these pictures!

I blew up the picture but couldn't read the label. What album is that?

Just keep the flip tray stocked with at least a few primers, that's how it's supposed to be used, Mr. Pencil Pusher. Razz

And what kind of boots is them? Confused

I still want that peacemaker.

Oh Hummm. Let's see here. I have around 60 tapes (7" Reel to reel with 5 to six albums each) and over 70 records. From 1955 to mid to late '80's. From Beethoven to ZZ Top. From Bill Haley (Rock around the clock 1955) to Tex Ritter...

I am surrounded by old farts that can no longer concentrate on a topic ..
Very Happy it figures..

Ahem, back to topic,
I may machine some sort of a plastic sleeve to put within the shell holder hole to see if it would help center the primer.

Gelan, that sounds like a good idea. I'm surprised there isn't something like that built in, the hand held version is like that.
