What do you guys think the best powder for the 25-06 is? I have been leaning towards H4350. But I am asking the experts on the board for some guidance.

I would wager that H4350 will be the go to powder. The IMR powder is one of the classics for that case size, but H4350 works just as well. H4831 works very well, also.

Do some research in a reloading manual or three, then pick the powders that give the highest velocity for the bullet weight,(which will probably contain H4350 and/or H4831 somewhere in there) and you will like what you can do with it.

Be safe! Very Happy

I have found that both IMR 4831 and IMR 7828 work very well in my 25-06 with IMR 7828 working the best.

I just started working up coyote loads for my 700 25-06 with a 75gr. Vmax bullet. Today I had some nice groups (half inch) using imr 4350. The loads are just about max in the latest hornady book, should be getting velocity at just under 3600fps.

I've been using H4831 with 85 gr BT's with excellent results out of my Ruger VT (less than 1/2" groups at 100 yards). Absolutly brutal on PDs.

Reloder 19 has been a favorite of mine with 100gr and lighter bullets. It has given my two 25-06s the best velocity and accuracy.

both Handloader and 1895ss have both powders that work well for me, 100 gr bullets and smaller Reloader 19 heavier bullets goes to IMR7828. Good velocity and accuracy with both powders.
