Everyone has the Remington, Winchester, Browning etc. caps. And them's fine and good.
But I dont like lookin' like I just stepped out of a commercial or a TV show. (my orange towel safety-pinned to back of an old tan fishing vest for upland use gets some laughs....but it holds birds and shells, and bait!)

Gonna try a lil something different, I like being different.

Aint seen one of these in the field yet. And if a trend get's started I wan't the royalties! Mad Hope it aint to big fer my bald lil noggin. Embarassed

Actually that was my dress hat...

This is my hunting hat for upland game bird...Matches my shotgun vest...And my Browning 12 ga BSS.

One must be "color co-ordinated"...

Aw man.... I'v seen a million of those.

Yeh, hear ya on the matchy-thingy. I guess I need to get on board with that one. Lost my orange towel after the dove hunt so... either that or someone hid it so I'll breakdown and by a real upland vest.... and Big 5 has 'em on sale so...I might be in luck there.

That's the idea, Stovey...To be seen...You must hunt in very crouded conditions to have seen a million of them...

Yeh- ...you've never seen opening day out here for Dove. It can be a regular shooting gallery. I like trying to mosey off some and stand still so they quit flaring and are easier to hit. Too many people waving boom-sticks around. Amazing no one gets peppered.

I guess I'll go over to Big 5 today and see if any of them vests is left. Gonna miss the ol' terrible towel though. But I can still use the old fishin' vest for the range. One of my mates called me a 'fishunter' w/ my gettup. Said I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do that day...

Oh yes I have...Just west of Stockton. I always stood back and let the "real hunters" get up close. While I snag the leftovers (survivers). I usually limited out by noon...

Even as far back as I was I would get rained on by dove & quail shot. Ya just don't look up...

I think its time to seriously look into getting some HuntingNut.com hats made up. If such a thing happened, what would we want the logo to look like?

What a brilliant idea Dallan. The Logo is, in my mind, cut and dried....Look up to 11 o'clock at the top of the page and its there for all to see:

HuntingNut

and what ever else you feel would fit...PointBlank definitely needs a mention though.

There could be a variety of base colours for the cap...from the mandatory Blaze Orange that you guys need to plain colours or camo colours...shouldn't make any difference to the cost of the manufacture of the cap.

Cheers, Vince
