Day 7:
Mother nature has a serious attitude 9* this am, with a coat of fresh snow.
Hours walking: 1
Fresh tracks: 0
Deer in the woods: 3
Flat tires: 1
Not a single fresh track but jumped 3 out of there bed in the swamp. They didn't come out though. It's a nasty thick wet swamp can't get them out. Time to bundle up and hit the stand in the morning.

Day 8:
OOOPPs. Kinda slept in this morning it might have had something to due with the large quantity of adult beverages consumed last night. I'm gonna be an uncle again. Pretty much wasted the day nursing a headache, wow was it a doosey.

Day 10:
Did some serious tromping tonight, hit the swamp that I know the bastards hide in. It was worth it though. I kicked them up but I have no idea how many. I did find "The Whitetail Hotel" there were 12 fresh beds in about 75 yards. A couple of them were very big. I didn't screw around in there to long in hopes of trying to sneak in there tomorrow evening. I always heard there was an island in this swamp but never tried to find it, well I found it. It's not easy to get to but I think if I go slow and easy I can get in there.

Day 11:
Deer in the woods: 4
Deer hanging in the garage: 0
Only had 45 minutes tonight but I walked into the middle of them. The first one was only offering a gut shot and that really didn't appeal to me. The second one was real close whistling at me but the brush was to thick to see. When I finally got a shot I had an oops, the cap went off but not the charge!!!! Most people would be upset but I accept it as a risk of using a side lock. I have jumped them in the same place 4 times now, hopefully on more time.

Come in from downwind, slither like a snake on the ground, then blast 'em all!
Good luck Wiersey. Keep at 'em.
