We got plenty of that stuff. Darn stuff keeps seeping into one of my irrigation wells. Kills the mosquito larva in the ponds though. I had to cement it (oil sand strata) out of my drinking-water in the house well.

Cuz they taste good and they keep the grass and weeds under control.
I'm about ready (close to retirement) to let the drillers come in.

Don't forget the effects of the earths gravitational pull during the time frame of your experiment.

Not to mention allowing for the wobble of the earth on it's axis and the pull of the moon causing the earth to bulge...
I could go for some of that right now...The Long Island Tea that is...

Don't forget about moon phase and the seasons. The distance from the Earth to the sun and it's relative alignment with Mars. I know we've all heard of the butterfly effect, right?

Cary, you reminded me of a true incident that I witnessed...
A "maintenance man" was talking to a few of us one day and asked one guy "You are an electrician, right?" He answered "Yes." Then the guy asked "Can you explain something to me? What keeps them amps from just pouring out of that socket on to the floor?" The electrician looked at him for a minute and said "Well, there is a little check valve inside the socket. When you plug something in it opens the valve so the amps can flow." The guy was perfectly satisfied with the answer...
By the way, that guy got fired shortly after when he saw a button that said "Push to test" and decided to push it. It happened to be the main breaker for the US Air computer center!

Hum de dum dum dum.... smack smack smack (testing tongue for usage)...putttchshhhhhhh......ahhhhhh....first beer of the day.....dang....it's only 11.45am...maybe a bit early...oh well, I figure its 4pm somewhere right now, so, close enough.
What's this about Chambered gittin' keaster bit? It's a gutsy set of chewin' gear that goes there...no tellin' where the bugger's bin sittin' !!! Some of them stumps have some horrible creepy crawlies in them.
You give 'em hell Suz...keep them buggers in line mate.
One ounce of oily feathers trying to fall in a vacumm, wiv some water in the bottom; in the presence of some promiscuous resistors (goodness only knows what they are resisting...maybe them amps that want to dribble outa the powerpoint).....the whole time electrons are rioting because they weren't invited to the orgy by the resistors...... AHHHHHH.....MY HEAD HURTS!!!!!
I'm just gonna sit out here and wait fer Cary to drill fer them oily feathers, or wet electrons or whatever it is that is givin' him grief.
PUTTTTCHSHHHHHHHHHH
Cheers, Vince

PS,
Great story. Got a laugh out of me.
Vince,
You are wasting half the day! The best part. I never could stand getting up at the crack of noon!
