Slim, 3 extra points for you and a seat closer to the front!
Just for taking into account the number of mouths to feed and the size of your partner's freezer.
On the other hand, if I were your partner, I would invite you (and yr family) to come over and tast the way I was dealing with all these extra's, so the scales would come a little closer to equilibrum, you (or yr wife) might learn some extra trick to cook and we all would have fun (and a good meal).

Thanks, Aloys, for another good suggestion.

Ok, Vince, back on topic. Of the hunters I talked to the first morning, all the shoot distances were between 200 and 300 yards, except one. His was at 100 yards with a 300 Win Mag. The shot was in the lower half of the chest cavity but behind the leg. He said the elk ran for 100 yards before expiring.

...after being shot with a 300 Win Mag!? Shocked wtf I am going to hazard a guess that this was far too much rifle way too close. Also, the shot placement didn't help either...it should have been a bit higher methinks. The bullet would not have had a chance to work correctly. It would have been a through and through shot in an instant, and unless the bullet hit something hard on the way through I doubt it would have had much of a chance to deform.

He didn't know and I didn't press to ask.
