Howdy. Does anybody no if a mod 721 will drop in a mod 700 stock. and if not how much inletting it would take. I have bin looking at a 721 in a local shop and the stock is pretty rough Yuck but I got him down to $ 275.00 Very Happy It's bin rechambered for the 308 Norma mag. He has another one in 270 for $325 but I haven't bin able to find aftermarket stocks for the 721.
Joe

About the M700 on hunting.about.com/od/g...mmag5a.htm

Quote::
Introduced in 1962, the new rifle had everything the old rifle had and a few more things to boot. Technically speaking, the Model 721/722 and Model 700 actions are the same, but details such as a nicely shaped trigger guard and hinged floorplate assembly, a much better shaped stock, and a gracefully swept-back bolt handle made the new rifle much more appealing to the eye.

I dont think it should be too hard but I never did it maybe someone else has tired ?? Confused
