I have a large amount of TWEETY BIRDS around my house. I live in city limits or we would have no problems. Thing is is that my neighbor who was very good friends with my grandpa feeds the darn things, we have crows, pigeons, and birds simmilar to starlings(don't know which kind). They are very giving, they give us poo all over my fiance's new car, and my truck, as well as giving us wake-up calls at dawn. I don't want to piss off my neighbors and I have tried tearing down their nests and leaving them on the ground to try to scare them away but they won't leave.

I have tried a blowgun and a dart gun. I wouldn't think that they would eat poisoned food because they are such selective eaters but I'll try anything once....so if you all have any ideas it would be appreciated. Thanks

Avoid poisions because you may kill other animals higher in the food chain. Your dogs or cats, etc. In that case you could be subject to charges of Cruelty to Animals. A good conversation with your neighbor about the problems you are having is the most direct and upfront way to address the problem. If your neighbor is not receptive to your problems then contact you local Agriculture Agent or Natural Resources Agent for suggestions on repellant methods.

I believe it's against the law to feed wild animals and that includes birds. At least it is here in california...I had an infestation of farel cats where I used to work and contacted the local pest control and we trapped all of them (over 50) and illiminated the lady (goody two shoes) from feeding them...If you can't get it though your neighbor's head the problem he is causing I would get ahold of your local pest control, wild life people and health commission. See what can be done...Good neighbor or not you have an unhealthy condition for you and your neighbor.

I don't believe that birds in the city are considered pests, except for maybe pigeons. I would be very careful how I handled this as the Humane Society could be making a very unpleasant visit.
