OK DallanC
Africa was a dream hunt for me too. Talked about it for ten years.
Mind you I am a Mechanic , so save I did. My best friend is a booking agent
I have been huntig with him for ten years. 2004 we decided to go to africa
he put the hunt together, it started as 3 and ended as 11 people went.
We took 87 animals in total. I almost did'nt go had to put a fernace in the house. But I scraped enough to go. My now friend Walter Slippers
owner of Ingogo Safaris said don't come and shoot 1 or 2 animals , shoot
and pay later. I selected 5 animals that I wanted. KUDU was #1 we
took 11 kudu . The largest was 58 " and down from there.this hunt was
per animal ,plus a daily rate $250 or $300 I forget at this time. 8 days
we hunted. The flight was $1500 round trip. I think KUDU was $800 or 1000
fee the rest went 350 Impala 250 Stienbuck 950 Gems bbuck Limpopo bush buck 750 on the rare side. blesbnuck 350 .Choose what you will.

The goat was taken in Britsh Columbia in 2003. We were on a moose and
mountain goat hunt. This was a two week horse back hunt. I saved for two years for this one. I paid on it little by little. On the 4th day we went after my first goat , I quit at 5000 ft , I said I can take this goat but I'm not
making it back down.We could't take the horses up to the top nothing to tie them to. I quit and came down. My two friends killed their goats. The
next day my friend and I plus the outfitter went looking for another goat.
My friend spotted a goat ,we studied it for an hour. The outfitter said lets
go get this goat. Just the outfitter and I went, an 1 1/2 hr horse back ride later we got near the goat. We climbed down on top of him , he took 3 shots from a .300wby 180 gr swift a-frame. He was about 450 lbs .
his horns were 10"x 10 1/4". this was just plain luck. He shook after the
first shot.

The pilage on it looks nice and thick. I know billys get all stinky and yellow colored compared to nannys... I like this picture. Here in utah we have Mt Goats and my wife has quite a few bonus points for them, hopefully she will draw out within the next couple years. My sister in law drew a nanny tag last year and got a very pretty one.

Guys
I look at it this way any goat is a good on male or female.
If you get to hunt a goat you should feel lucky, and blessed if you happed
to take one. The say most people only take one goat ,because it usally a hunt and a half. If I get the chance I will hunt goat again , but it better be an easy one.
