YAY !!! We got RAIN at last

Yesterday till now, an average of 25 - 50mm of rain has fallen to NSW, and some places got up to 100mm Shocked

After a few years with less than 50mm a year, this indeed a godsend Smile

:)

Although I do not own a farm, since I went bush a lot, I could see that the farmers were hurting something terrible for a few years.
Of course it hurt me too, for the quantity of game animals went down down down...
I sure hope the rain continues for a bit more Smile

Only thing an umbrella would do is keep the sun off'n my head. The rain that Gelan got in New South Wales hasn't filtered through to Queensland. We are still waiting.

25mm is near enough 1"......1" is 25.4 mm.

Something very easy: 1 meter = 1,0936yds. 1yd = 0,9144 meter. 1 millimeter =0,03937". 1 meter = 100 centimeter = 1000 millimeter. 1fps = 0,3048 meter/s. 1meter/s = 3,2808 fps 1" = 25,339 millimeter. 1gram = 15,432 gr. 1gr = 0,0648 gram. Now we all use meter, centimeter, millimeter......

Well, Eric, another way to look at it is there are 25.4 millimeters to an inch! 1000 millimeters on a meter stick which is 39.370078 inches long!!! Smile

And an even easier way to look at it is SAE (inches, feet and yards). Only scientists really need the metric system because of the very fine measurment increments. The rest of us only need to measure from .0005" through a mile (except sailors need knotical miles)...
