Case Cleaning with Lemon Juice Formula

Does anyone have a solution for cleaning the inside of fired cases? I had one from the internet but lost it. I remeber that it used water, lemon juice, salt and some other stuff which I can't remember. I would soak the cases for 10-15 minutes, dry, then tumble and the insides came out almost as nice as the outside. It did turn the cases pinkish but that came off after tumbling. Anyone got something like that?

I put my cases in Ultrasonic bath.. I just use a few spoons of vinegar to a couple liter of water. Came out nice and clean, even the headstamp and primer pocket.

mikeleduc...First...Welcome to this fine site.

I do have a question for you. Why do you want the inside of the case as clean as the outside? Just curious is all. I have never really worried about ith inside because after its loaded no one can see the inside and it has been proven that it really doesn't matter if it's clean and shinny.

However here is what I use for those real dirty cases (again I haven't payed any attention as to whether it does the inside).

One pint cold water
one cup white vinegar
one tablespoon dishwashing liquid
one tablespoon salt.

A tupper ware bowl and its cover work for me. Agitate every few minutes for about 20 minutes and rince well in fresh water and dry.

cleaning any case with any acid - including vinegar - is a bad way t clean cases. the brass reacts with the acid reducing the alloy of its zinc. That leaves a more copper alloy behind and a weaker case.
If you want a shiny case then tumble with walnut to clean and follow with corn cob to polish. If a case turns green then the copper is oxidizing and the case needs to be tossed. If it is just dirty then tumbling it will clean it up.
