|
Title says it all, I have been using a HP-35S (The new model of the HP-35) and I was wondering if anyone else uses one?
I have been using it for the last little while, bought it after I started college again, and now I cannot use a Algebraic type calculator (standard TI and the like) without screwing up. It was quick and easy for me to get used to RPN, but it made my ability to use other calculators suffer quite a bit.

Change calculators...
Seriously, if it impairs your ability to use the common types I'd switch. I think I used one long ago, temporarily.

I used to have a "reverse polish" calculator and loved it! you entered the equations just as they were written. It was a BIG learning curve to go back(wards) to the "normal" calculators again.
I feel for you Dimitri.

Really at the end of the day the common calculators seem to be "Calculating Machines" where as my RPN calculator the way it wants its input seems to be a "Calculating Aid" to get the math done faster, but if you dont know how to work with the equation your SOL when it comes to using one.
I don't plan on going back but I was just wondering if anyone used one.

Been using my trusty HP48SX since 1988 !!!
thats a solid 20 years use out of a calculator and it still working fine!!
RPN is great once you get used to it.
Sometime I got confused when using normal type of calculators.
