Welcome to the Forum.

The Model 7 has been around for a while. If you like it, go for it. All the best...

I have a S.S. Model Seven with a synthetic stock and a 20" barrel in .260 Rem. I bought the rifle used and was very pleasantly surprised by it's accuracy and the silky smoothness of the action. It reminds me quite a bit of the Sako Finnlight. I'm constantly buying selling and trading guns, but this is one of the few rifles that I have tagged not for sale, EVER. I think you would be very happy with it.

I have a Model 7 for my daughter in the 7mm-08 very accurate lil gun. I have long arms so I don't really like a gun as short as the model 7. Over all a good little gun.

Welcome to the nut.

The "seven" was built to populate the niche left from the 600 series I like carbines so I'm a fan. They are in 223 boltface and standard, watch for scopebases. Hollands gunsmithing makes some neat ones if you don't mind the price.

They also had a .534 bolt face for the 7mm and 300 Remington SAUM's

Welcome
I own a couple of model sevens. I really like the compactness of the little rifle. My 243 is a real sweet shooter--as is my 22-250. I'd be hard pressed to get rid of either one.

Owned a model seven for more than ten years, in 243 great little rifle for woodland hunting after small Muntjac deer and for night lamping fox.
