Well, I have just acquired the "new" hunt-mobile of mine last week.
So I thought it is good to christen the wagon with a weekend trip to a nearby state forest this weekend.
Since it is a strange truck to me, I dont want to take too much risk by going far.
So I book this state forest I went to, which is just about 150 km from Sydney.

I must say that the wagon works real well, I managed to conquer tall mountains (um.. hills Embarassed ),
deep valleys and crossing a "river" with it, taki8ng me into just the spot I like to start my hunt.

After at least a few hours tracking out a tiny boar that is the only game track I could find,
I finally saw it and managed to aim at it with my gun.
Ok.. I take my breath, and start squeezing...
aaannddd....

WROOOMMM.. VROOMM BROOMMM!!!!! Shocked
A motorcyclist just burst out off the bush behind the boar..
Where the hell that guy came out from??? Shocked
I defintely did not hear the guy a few minutes/ seconds before!!!
quickly I point the rifle away from the guy..
the boar took off and all the hardwork being quiet and stealthy gone..

Never again I would visit state forest so close to the city.
The guy is lucky I did not yet pull the trigger.
The bullet might have richocheted up and hit him.. he is in the direct path of my bullet!!!

Quickly I pack up and took off home..
I need to settle my nerve..

.

What IS it with off-road bikers & their lack of consideration for anyone else near them?
I've been a motorcyclist for 35 years but never developed the "I'm OK Jack, **** you" attitude a lot of them seem to carry around. Sad

Yeah,
State Forests are popular with the trail bikes.

Damn...that is not good Gelan...its a shame you couldn't collar the moron and tear him a new a#&*hole. Evil or Very Mad Whereabouts were you mate?

Don't let it get to you mate...because of your due diligence and commonsense there was not an accident...you did good mate. Very Happy

I have two off-road bikes and I will only ride on private property, with permission, for this very reason. We even had an idiot on a trail bike come up over the dirt wall on the side of our 100m range on Army property one day and ride across the range when we were about to shoot. Suffice to say that he felt the full weight of Military Law the next day. He was not even remotely happy when told that the only way his motorcycle was going to move around the Army Barracks for the foreseeable future was by him pushing it. Very Happy Laughing Laughing

Cheers, Vince
