About two months ago I saw a Winchester Model 12 pump shotgun in 12 gauge sitting all alone on a used gun rack in a local gun shop. The hang tag price was very reasonable for a gun in excellent condition. So I asked an older clerk to remove the barrel for inspection. When he removed the barrel, parts started falling off the shotgun. I commented that my other Model 12s did not come apart that way. For two month, the shop gunsmith fooled around and could not correct the problem. The shop sold the gun to me today for a bargain basement price.
I spoke to my local master gunsmith and he says he can fix the shotgun easily for very little money. He will get the shotgun this week for inspection and repairs. It pays to know a gunsmith who is a true master. Take care...
Joe

I love Model 12s
I picked up an old Model 12 16ga last year for less than $200.00.
I refinished the stock, and the gun works and lookes like new.
Hope that you have fun with your new toy Joe.
