This is a good series of photos from a game camera. I'm sure pictures like these could also happen in AZ, CA, and NM. Its a real problem that our country has to address. Part of the problem is here and part of it is in Mexico.

Yeah coatimundi!! That one animal that the guy puts a caption on "badger-wolverine"? is a coatimundi. When I was a kid we called em cliff monkeys. They're like a racoon but with a long nose, long body and long tail. They climb all over the canyons like monkeys. I had one fall on my tent one time and scared the frijoles out of me. They're very agile like a cat. They use their tail a lot too but I don't know if it's like a monkey tail or not (gripping?)prehensile?

Aloysius!! Beans, my man. if you click HERE you'll find a recipe for them, complete with pictures. They are very much a southwestern USA staple, even at breakfast in some places. Goes good with beer and steak and some crusty bread to soak the bean juice up.

You thought about me cause I was smoking the last of my venison and the smell traveled to Tx cause I put a pan of beans in the smoker too. I tried some corn on the cob in there as well, it's pretty good but kinda dries it out a bit. Actually just the outside dried out, guess I coulda put some butter on it. sort of baste it but I was afraid the smoke might make the butter kinda bitter butter not better butter, but bitter butter. The beans didn't pick up any smoke flavor (maybe it's my old taste buds) I can put some smokey venison pieces in there to liven it up for left-overs. There's a place in Tucson I used to go to for steak. They serve steak bread and beans and salad that's all. They pit bbq over mesquite. They always have a crowd too. If a guy wears a tie in there they come by with scissors and snip it off and hang it up in the place. It's just covered with snipped off ties. Great place to bring a date and tell him it's a dressy place, must wear a tie. I love the smell of that place.
