I was wondering if anyone was using reloader 17. I bought a pound of it thinking it was Reloader 19 for my 30-06. Only data I can find is with Speers bullets.

Thanks
MT

Welcome to HuntingNut, mtstringer! Grab a beer out of Vince's ever full ice chest and pull a stump. I don't have experience with Reloader powders. Others on the forum will chime in soon. I did check the forum's reloading data base (upper left - Modules - 4th from the bottom). There were no loads listed for Reloader 17. I also didn't find it listed in any burn rate charts. The Alliant website lists it as similar to IMR 4350 which is my go to powder for my .270 Win. but with more velocity (hmmm, maybe I should look into this).

www.alliantpowder.com/...der17.aspx

There is a link there for Reloder Recipes for 150 to 200 grain bullets.

Welcome,

When RL-17 first came out, I used IMR 4350 data when using bullets from Nosler, or Hornady. Seems to work great when working up new loads.
