This report is dated but I still found it interesting.

One aspect that I noticed is the numbers for Republicans vs. Democrats. In my opinion gun ownership is indicative of how someone looks at life in general. Owning a gun indicates a degree of self-reliance, wanting to be able to take care of yourself. Unwillingness to own a gun indicates that you expect others to take care of you. Again, it’s just my opinion, based on 40 odd years of observation and discussion.

Pkslinger, thanks for posting. It would be interesting to have it updated for today with the 30% increase in gun sales since OB took office. He has fueled the firearm industry. Interesting that Democrates by guns for protection more than any other political afiliation.
