Yep! all we need to do now is declare bankruptcy, nationalize all foreign investments and start ove with a few changes.
1. representatives get paid the average salary of those they represent. They have to rent a home with that money when in DC.
2. They get medical benefits from medicare. (in less than a year medicare will be well funded)
3. Their retirement will be Social Security. (Social security will be paying more than most of us ever earned in a very short time.
4. All laws passed must go before the Supreme Court to assure they are in compliance with the constitution before they can be passed into law.
5. The president's salary will be 1.5 times the average american's anual income. He will do business in the white House but will have to rent someplace to live out of his salary. His benefit package will be the same as the rest of the government workers - Medicare and Social security.
6. no elected official will serve more than two terms total.
7. All government employees will have the same retirement and health care as elected officials and the same pay - equal to the average income of those in the area they serve.
8. No more money can be spent than is brought in by taxes. All tax increases must be passed by a 66% majority vote by the voters of the USA. (no debt carried from one year to the next)
9. Law abiding citizens have rights - illegals do not.
10. If you are able to work then you can get work-fare. If you can't work then your family can take care of you. (better be nice to them)
11. All taxes are based on GROSS income whether they are for businesses or people and the TOTAL tax collected (fed., state, local, ect) cannot exceed 15%.
12. No money will be spent overseas until America is fully funded.

That should be a good start and we can then get our country back.

That would be good for our Pollies too Camel. Would do them a world of good to have to live under the same conditions as the real people.

The unfortunate part about it is there is no way this is ever likely to happen. Politicians are not in the job because they want to make a difference to the way of life of a country's citizens...they are there for the money, the glory, the perks, the obscene pension/superannuation, did I mention the money. There is no way they will ever make changes to the pay structure, superannuation benefits or anything else for that matter unless it is to benefit them. Gone are the days when politics was a calling for those who had a genuine concern for the well-being of the country and it's people.

Look at Bill O'Chee in QLD...useless as tits on a bull and a waste of rations.

That is the calibre of person we get in politics in Australia today...great aren't they.

Yeah Vince, and you know what really pisses me off, is when you see the slimmey bastards doing hand outs to the homeless, poor, aged, etc on public holidays. It looks to me as the only reason they do that is that its a good photo and publicity shot. Same as when you see them lining up for photo shots when there is an election coming up. All over the work place for a short time then after that, they dissapear up their holes and pat eachother on the back, saying how good they ran the election. I wonder if they ever get to know what the average person on the workforce really thinks about them Not that they would give two flying f#@$%s.
