Nice ELK. i hope i get one.. They are tough I have seen one take a bullet through both lungs and spraying blood for a quarter of a mile before dropping |

My hunt is in 2 weeks and I was planning on using a Barnes 290 and 110 grains of Blackthorn 209. It puts me out of the muzzle around 2000 ft per sec |

ok, they are the same velocity ranges normally unless you are using 777 or blackthorn 209. |

The bullets for muzzleload are kind of pricey. alot more than me reloading my own for my rifle. I just need SPeer to come out with a grandslam muzzleloader bullet |

no problem, I have seen articles of people using them for deer alot but not on Elk other than one or 2 statements. It is the Mag bullet instead of the normal xtp? From what i have seen there is no re ... |

I use Blackhorn 209. I did use 777 pellets but tired of cleaning it after every shot at the range. |

My friend use 295 power belt and 150 grain pellets 777 on a bull ELK and it blew up on the shoulder. Elk ran away |

I love it over the triple7 in that i have no crud ring and it burns alot cleaner. You also have to use a standard 209 primer because Black horn needs a hotter flame |
