For me it's Caliber .30.
From varmints to bruins and beyond. The .30 does it all.
What's your ultimate caliber?

Looky there, even gets out the red carpet for his trusted irons as a back drop. Can't you just feel the love!?! See you found another use for the other wetsuit sleeve.

Oh, we were supposed to be talking about calibers. I'll tell you after I return from my elk hunt in 2 weeks.

That's an easy question - .30 without a doubt. Nice photo, Stovey

22mm 1000 MegaWatts LASER..
However that may be a tad difficult to get right now, so I'll settle with .45

Personally, in Australia, 25/06 has been a good alrounder over the last 30 yrs.
But I have weakened and recently bought a .308win.

I want that bullet sittin on my desk dhc4..., it's purdy. I'd go with the 30 cal. bullets if that's my choice. I sorta like to match the rifle and caliber to the task tho. Together they're a tool designed for purpose. Although you could use a 30-30, 30-06, 8mm on a rodent or other small animal, it'd be a waste of powder and you'd destroy the evidence. Sometime destroying the evidence is the point, but there are less expensive ways of doin things.

Well, yeah - I'm sure most of us here would really like at least one of each . . . . but probably there'd be three or more .30 cal's in the mix.

And everyone forgets the lowly .22 LR.
But then again. .30 caliber is probably one of the most popular caliber around. Capable of high accuracy and long range in many platforms. Do not know of any game animal it hasn't taken.
