I stopped in to chat with a few friends that work in a great local gun shop. I spotted a Savage 110 on the used gun rack. It is a 7mm Rem Mag.and has a detachable clip. The walnut stock is beautiful and it has Leupold bases and rings holding as BSA 3-9X scope. The hang tag said $249, but they were having a sale and deducted $50. I brought it home with me. Like I said, I hate going to gun shops. Take care...

Dawgdad,
No it was not John's shop which I dearly love. It was a shop in Mt. Joy that is just fantastic. Take care...

Not sure I have ever heard that kind of comment about "luck" Vince. HAHAHA!!!!
But wow! $200 for a dcecent 7Mag. A bit bigger than i'd need BUT I would probably have brought it home same as you did. That is a niche I do not yet have. Should have bought one I saw a few weeks ago in Des Moines it was a Re chambered LEE-Enfield to .375H&H for $500US. I sorta' have a "thing" for that cartridge. Not that I have anything here that would "need" that much power. But it is a classic cartridge that would be fun to mess around with.
Good FIND! Enjoy it.

We are fortunate to have a few really great gun shops around here. The used gun racks are overflowing with many .22 rifles, various shotguns and all types of rifles. Condition of these arms does vary as do the prices. The shop in Mt. Joy offers discounts all the time and often places discount dollars on all their used firearms. I also picked up a bolt action 12 gauge J.C. Higgins (made by High Standard) for $44.95. I cleaned it up and put two coats of Tru-Oil on the stock and it looks pristine. My lady friernd wants to know if I can put the same wood finish on a dining room table and chairs. Take care...

Arron, I'm deer hunting with a .45-70, not because I need it but because I CAN!
Near the top of my wish list of guns is a .375 or .416 Ruger, just because. I can always download it with cast bullets for deer, etc.
Joe, that's a heck of a deal! Looking forward to the shooting report.

Thats the way I see it. Took my 340wby out deer hunting last year after throttling it down, works like a charm.
Arron, go back and get that 375 H&H, if you don't, you'll regret it.
Good deal Joe.
