Time for a laugh...at my expense, AGAIN !!

I can't believe some of the stupid bloody things I manage to do to myself. Read on

I have send this to some of the guys, but figured that you would all enjoy a good laugh.

A knife must be sharp…a blunt knife is useless.

There are some warnings or provisos that go with this though…

1. When you sharpen a knife…put it away when finished.

2. Don’t go to sleep on the lounge and leave a sharp knife sitting on your lap.

3. If you do happen to leave a sharp knife on your lap and you jump up to answer the phone when it rings, be aware that nasty things can, and do, happen.

Is it obvious where this is heading?

I sharpened my Buck skinning knife today. Said knife takes a beautiful razor sharp (and then some) edge. It also has a bit of weight behind it as an aid to skinning.

As stated above…jumping up from a wee Nana nap with a knife such as this laying on your lap has the potential to cause problems. I did not even feel the cut as the knife dropped from my lap to the floor, slicing my calf on the way down (as I said…it’s bloody sharp).

The Doctor said it is a nice clean cut, and had a good laugh as he sutured the cut on the back of my calf. He said it went right into the fat layer, which means it was bloody deep.

SWMBO said I can’t play with sharp knives anymore.

Yup...it's a beautiful knife mate...takes a magnificent edge and it is great to use.

Funny...everyone is wanting to send me their knives to be sharpened. Laughing

Must admit, I do get a lot of pleasure from running a stone over a knife edge...very relaxing whilst watching TV.

I'm beginning to wonder what is worse...leaving my rifle bolts at home when going hunting or dropping the knife and cutting my leg.

No two ways about it...I'm a klutz. Very Happy
