Part II: The home-made shell deflector works. Took some minor fiddling as at first it acted like a catcher, which is fine for singles, but I wanted the hull to clear the action for doubles. Now it does. I also added and modified a 12ga wire-type catcher for singles, flip it up and it catches the hull for easy disposal, down for doubles and the plastic deflector takes over and drops the hulls to my right almost at my feet about 24" forward. Also added a Trulock IM extended ported black oxide coated choke for back-fence shooting from the 27y line. I prefer trap for wingshooting practice as it replicates flushing quail to me best. The plastic home-made deflector design works and works well. It also gets a lot of sniffs on the rack waiting it's turn. I thought about a Graco mag cap weight for a little more mass and less slap. But the magazine is very thin alloy and I dont want to risk feed issues of bendage et. al. The gun slaps pretty hard @ only 5 pounds but, it's my primary bird gun so I want to practice as much as I can with it and all these mods come off in les than 2 seconds for field use. I'm very pleased with the results and a little Krylon plastic paint for the deflector will really spruce it up.

it looks like a "chopper gun" we had some strange adaptors used to stop shells being pinged off the rotors.

Added a couple more pics El...comp kept crash-dumping...ugh. Intersting point. This poor thing really flings the hulls so....most guys dont mind but the boys with the Perrazi's don't like it I dont want to chance dinging a stock worth more than my life hehehe. Rubber bands didnt work on this one either so....mother of invention strikes again. I'm stoked.

Neat idea. Looks pro too...But...It wouldn't work on mine. When I break the action you don't want to be within 15 feet behind me.

Also...Very nice lookin shotgun. You have some better photos of the woodwork showing the tiger striping?

Yup- gota couple laying around here somewhere, stand by, BRB.

Freakin' sore and I forgot how to shoot...worst scores in my life, ever! IM choke was very demanding, zero wiggle room @ 16y so I'm going back to M choke as I cant tell where my misses are. Never got a chance to do 27y. But at least I looked cool. Very Happy
