I pikced up a savage 99cd series A .243 yesterday. I am looking forward to killing a deer with it this season. I got a pretty good deal on it from what I can tell. I am looking forward to getting some reloads made up for it also.

hahahaha! yeah I have heard that alot already. I am taking it out friday to shoot it. Thats all I have been able to think of since I first saw it. I am also looking forward to taking a deer with it this year.

Great find. I'm still kicking myself for passing up two different 99s years ago. One was a .300 Savage and the other was a .358 Winchester. What I really wanted was a .250-3000...now I wish I had both of them!

I usually do all my hunting with a 7mm rem mag slimjim. I have posted a few things about 7mm's but I have had it the longest so I don't need much info for it as compared to other guns I have.

I honestly was not looking for a savage 99 or a .243 when this deal came along but I am glad I picked it up. I am gonna get some batteries today so I can post some pics.

I actually have wanted one of these in a 300 sav and/or a 7/30 waters but they are usually way out of my price range.
