Slim, I sure ain't a racing sardine.
Several years ago my wife and I went out in a double and that just about bought us to blows..... She was in stroke and I was all power and no grace, we've both learnt who has what strengths and now that I've developed a better technique with less emphasis on power we can actually get the boat moving well....without wanting to divorce each other after a row.....LOL
I have modified my style quite considerably which is why in all our boats I tend to stroke oar because I can control the slide a lot better than most without loosing power. LOVE MY SPORT!
Vince don't knock it and give it a go theres plenty of Masters crews out there and they're always looking for new blood so to speak. With your rivers in Brisbane there will be any number of clubs. I saw at least 5 crews out when I was over there earlier this year and most of them looked like they were there to have fun.

Not that bad, really I don't run them at max press (130) i usually just put in 100 and that makes everything feel great. The carbon does a great job on dampening any vibration that makes it past them and the leather seat takes care of the rest. I have gel under the bar tape for the other interface. Just like anything though the more you do it the better your body adapts to it.

My Son use to race at this track before we moved and it was awesome, had many great cyclists through out the years.
