The hog hunt I posted about in the fall is coming up 1st week of April. My brother and he's buddies are having their annual kill animals, drink beer, eat well, smoke cigars, tell lies get together. This year GA has to put up with them.:-D Last year was the first time I went with them. It's more money than I should be sending but you look around and realize there are more days behind than before on this earth. Years back my 2 brothers asked a couple of times if I wanted to go with them and some of their buddies fishing in the Atlantic but I always had "responsibilities" & "commitments" when they were going. After that they stopped asking. Now, I'm 52 and Mike must be nearly 58. From now on, if there is anyway I can do it, if my "big brother" is going hunting and has room for one more I'm in!

Can't agree more RPM1031. I don't really have a relationship with any of my three brothers for a couple of reasons, one being that we are spread wide geographically.

I must admit, I do miss our time together. Spend time with your family, its important....even better if your are doing something enjoyable like hunting.

Cheers, Vince

Thanks Vince. We don't get together that much but enjoy it when we do. The brother I hunt with lives in what is called the Eastern Shore in Maryland. It's about 3 1/2 hours away. You have a lot of room to spead out Down Under. Hope it works out for the 4 of you get together. We've been trying to have a family reunion once a year for the last couple of years. It was great to see our ki, now in their 20's, hitting it off taking pictures together, exchanging e-mail addresses.

Hope things work out for this hunt. My wife has MS. She had her worst relapse ever a couple of weeks ago and ended up in the hospital for 5 days. She isn't bouncing back very well from this one. The way she is now I won't be able to leave her home by herself. We thought she would be doing better by this time.

Man proposes GOD disposes.

Hi Popgun,

We'll be near the coast just north of Ft. Stewart & Hunter. I think it's about 10 miles west of 95. They hooked up with an outfitter in Bloomingdale called Egan Hill Plantation. We get there 4/2 and leave the 8th. I'll be back down to College Park in Fulton County around May? to check on my mother-in-law and do some more work on her house.
