In early times they put some pink color on black and white pictures...
and Stovey is maybe hiding in his shop. He sure remains very silent. Or he has too much work, or he's starving, what should we decide?

He's changed his cell phone number. I may have to look up his shop to find his new number.

It might be that the last traject of a phonecall or sms to him could go over smoke-signals when I see the place he's living now...
and with the recents winds, maybe you should be patient...

Ok, I have the next test rig almost set to go. This will be a much more stable set-up then before. First, I installed the barrel back on the receiver. Basic components are:
1. Rem 700 firing pin
2. AR cleaning rod guide for 6.8mm
3. Wood impact block
4. Swinging hammer (not shown)

Here is how they fit together. The firing pin from the Rem 700 just happened to fit snugly into the 6.8mm AR cleaning rod guide which, in turn, fits nicely into the upper receiver. This keeps the firing pin centered on the primer. I drilled a 0.500" hole into the wood block to slip over the end of the rod guide to give the hammer (not shown) something to shwack.

I'll use another wood block to secure the upper receiver to the plywood piece. Then clamps will be used to hold everything in place. I'm ready to go! Ring the bell for Round 2!!

If alignment is an issue for getting centered strikes on the primer, you can also glue a bb to the primer then hit the bb with a larger rod.

Have you already offered Stovey to swing the hammer?
A person of less weight could give a mighty fine you-tube-hit...

Ok, here is the set-up for Round 2. Everything is assembled, secured/locked-down, and ready to let the hammer drop. I will use a .22 to shoot/knock away the block of wood holding the hammer up. It would then swing down and impact the wood block connected to the cleaning rod guide holding the firing pin and then into the primer.
Standby Bushy! Fire in the hole!!

Ok, now how do I load the video? Gosh, I can't get the sound to play. That takes away half the fun.
