Anyone notice Wednesday the date and time will be: 01:02:03 04/05/06 ?

I did but thought that I was alone. I wonder what every one will be doing at that time & date, will be something to remember if you are awake!!! Another story for the Grand Children, a once in Mankind's History and in a way kind of awe inspiring IMO! Cool

If you add those series of numbers, it equals 21. 21 divided by three equals 7. 7 squared equals 49 and 49 squared is 2,401. Hmmm, there is something odd here!

You know what else...... That won't ever happen again until 3006. Although for us aussies it won't happen for another month cause we put the day before the month when we write the date....where you guys say April 5th we say 5th April.

Bushy, you disappoint me old mate. Surely you haven't been out of the Navy that long you have forgotten the 24hr clock.....0102hrs is AM mate.

For the ease of calculations I have always used 2400, although there are those that would argue that technically it is 0000 after 2357.

I suppose the gap between 12 midnight and 1 am could be termed 0000.

Mate, give up on trying to be a civvy, or slyvillian as we called them.....the military is in your blood until the day you die.

After having to fill out thousands of rough and smooth engineering logs aboard ship all those years. I have never entered 2400. The day ends at 2359:59 and the new day starts at 0000. This is how I was taught in the US Navy. You are right though as it is all in the interpitation.

Yes...That I know. After 22+ years it is hard to get it and all of its aspects out of your mind and actions. It governs the way I walk and think. The swagger that a sailor has when he is walking is for self preservation. Ever get your toe caught in your bell bottoms when walking down a street? Then you know what I mean...
