Sure has been quiet here for a couple of days. Guess everybody is getting ready for the hunting season?

I'm going to try to get a new load tested for the Ruger 77 Compact in .260. A 123 grain Hornady SST over some Hybrid 100V. My daughter's boyfriend may have her talked into deer hunting this year...

Don't know if I'm goin deer hunting or not, it's already started here but I've got too many odds and ends to tie up. Wish you luck Pumpkin! It sure smells like deer season around here, the rains just started and cool air blowin....OOooo wish I could go out there.

Well, I'm sitting here in stunned silence. My "fellow" Canadians have just given a majority government to a spoiled child of a former prime minister that ruined our country thirty some years ago. I just can't believe there are that many stupid people out there. He campaigned about middle class - a trust fund kid that never had a full time job and he knows about middle class?!

He is on record as saying he likes the Australian model for gun control. I'll be getting out hunting this weekend with junior for the last kick at the can for archery elk and just found out that junior did get the first six days of rifle season off. Gonna have to enjoy it - might be the last time if justin gets his way. Dam I'm p***ed!

GW...good luck mate. Our gun laws are draconian, a pain in the ars3 and so damn restrictive you don't even dare fart with a firearm in your hands for fear of breaking some Firearm Law, Rule or Regulation.

The Canuckastadian equivalent to the NRA needs to mobilise quick smart and start putting together a defence against any backward steps in your firearms legislation...like modelling the garbage we have to live with over here in Australia. You can bet your left t3sticl3 that Rebecca Peters and Philip Alpers (Australian ANTIs) will either get on the bandwagon, or activate their ANTI friends in Canada, as a matter of urgency now that your election is done and dusted.

Peters is a right royal pain in the ars3 who is 'in bed' with the UN and Alpers is a 'self professed' Professor, even though he's never attended a day of study since leaving High School. He is one of those losers who kissed the right butts and was given an honorary degree and now calls himself Professor. They both have a history of manipulating statistics and facts...and have been caught out publishing outright untruths (read LIES) about firearms, so if they are in cahoots with the ANTIs in Canada, you can bet they will share tactics and bullsh1t.

No hunting for me this year. 40 years of railroad construction are taking their toll. I've been out of work since March. Had knee surgery in April on my right knee and it still isn't right. I have a blown out disc in my back, I've been getting epidural shots for that and I'm getting an MRI on my left knee next week to see if that needs surgery. This is the first time in my life that I've been out of work for anything and it's been one heck of a year. It's great practice for retirement though. Doesn't stop me from buying guns or reloading and won't keep me from getting to the range tomorrow!

I hope all goes well with your knee BB...I've been there myself mate. My Orthopaedic Surgeon gave me an injection of Synvisc-One - http://www.synviscone.com/what-is-synvisc-one.aspx - into the knee joint after the op, and it made a lot of difference. The problems with my knee was a torn meniscus, an almost non existent cartilage that was ruptured anyway and Grade 4 Osteo Arthritis in the patello-femoral joint.

As for your back..good luck mate...ruptured or herniated discs are bloody painful and require careful treatment.
