I recently bought a brand new Ruger AR-556 for $540 plus tax. I think some of the stuff I have around would go for 2-3 times what I paid for it. I gave about $120 for the K31 and I think they are running over $400 now.

I just thought about this again and found out that the Python I sold off wasn't the only stupid move I made. About 30 years ago I sold off a 2 1/2" barreled Colt King Cobra in S.S. for about $400. I just saw this one on Gun Broker. It's identical to the one I sold and has a buy it now price of $4,499.00! I think I'll cry myself to sleep tonight.

Whatever the price you 'mericans are paying, here in Oz we need to pay at least double for the same gun.

I'm currently adding all I can to the "new gun" fund. If Hillary gets elected president (something I think is probable at this point), I have no doubt we'll see another "assault weapons ban", so I plan to buy a bunch of lowers... so my kid and his kids can have the chance to own one.

Good idea, the price for lowers right now is about as good as it gets. Don't forget magazines and ammo. You don't know what they would try to ban.
