I've worked up a load that is working in Both my 8x60S's so I thought I would pass it along because data for this round is hard to come by. Fed GM Large Rifle Primers, PPU Brass, 55g H4831, 200g Sierra HPBT loaded to 3.270". Hodgdon#25 shows 57g MAX charge for the 8x57 w both 170g and 225g's but this is flattening primers pretty nicely and is accurate. Still working on a 150 S.P. Load Does anyone know if their is a Hodgdon "cousin" to IMR4320? maybe Varget? So far IMR 4064 is winning that one.

Poking around turned up a Ken Waters' Pet Loads Supplement #2 to the Third Edition for $10. Which contained a load with same propellant charge and bullet weight combo. (His used a Speer 200g Spitz) Which he listed as Best accuracy w\ heavy bullets. It's always nice to be in good company.

Sounds like an interesting cartridge. I like a story with a happy ending. Not sure of the powder relationships, but whatever works is fine. All the best...
