The last few days have been one hell of a ride!!!! A good friend of mine got married on the 28th (yesterday). The wedding was about two hours away so we wanted to get a hotel room. Well Our Anniversary was the 27th so we decided to go a day early and celebrate our 26 years, and help set up for the wedding.

We booked a Whirlpool sweet and cracked a beer as soon as we got there and enjoyed the hot tub for several hours. By the time some of our other friends got there I was well on my way to a good buzz. After we went out for supper every one that was there for the wedding ended up in our huge room. Evidently none of us wanted to wait to start celebrating. At four am there were still half a dozen people in our room. Been a long time since we have had a fun night like that.

By the time all the kegs were drained after the wedding we proceeded to whoop it up until the wee hours of the morning at the hotel again. Fun was had by all. I'm pretty sure my liver is going to walk out on me if I do that to it again.

Let's see,
Ex army check,
Ex tanker check,
Over 50 check
Kids check
Quiet suburban life since kids check
Traditional first night over speed +1 check and check
Sudden realization you're not 21 anymore BINGO.
Welcome to middle age, which means old enough to know better, young enough to do it again.
Cheers

Older enough to know better...does that even exist?

Seriously though Wiersay...I'm really happy the SWMBO and yourself were able to have a great night out together, then with friends, mate. Not very often that happens at your age. And of course, Happy Anniversary to you both...26 years together is almost epic in this day and age, although it seems to be common amongst us 'Nuts'.
