Unless you have been through a cyclone it's really hard to understand what it can be like. I remember when cyclone Larry hit Australia in 2006.

I had been through many cyclones before but my wife had not. She didn't know what to expect. When the wind started and trees started to bend and break, I noticed her staring through the glass doors. That look of fear on her face will always stay with me. I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. The winds worsened and the rain intensified. She stared through the doors for hours until the eye came over and all went calm. When the wind stopped, I was able to unlock the door and let her in

It's very wet here mate, but nowhere near as wet as you and dhc4ever. How are you guys travelling...all OK?

Well look at that, a totally different weather system on the other side of the river.
The only sunshine we had here was the liquid variety......

Today Pete, I'm talking about today
Yesterday was madness, went to Karalee to fill the wifes car
Nearly everyone had jerry cans, people lined up everywhere
All over a day of rain, sheesh
I crossed Colleges and the tide was out, hardly any water under the crossing
