If you can get them...

Ordered 8 pounds of H4350 from MidSouth on November 3. On the 6th, I got an email from the Santa Claus company in the brown trucks that it would arrive on the 7th. On the 7th I received another saying it would arrive on the 8th. Using the tracking info, I found that it was scanned for final destination the 7th at the distribution center about 20 miles from me.

Then...silence. Tracking unchanged. Called the Customer Service (less than helpful) and was told I should contact the seller. Not sure why, since MidSouth had done their job.

Next tracking on the 10th showed it was in Las Vegas, 1,700 miles away from me. It must have enjoyed a long weekend there, because it stayed there until the 14th when it wandered into Commerce, Colorado. Finally on the 17th, it dragged up to my house.

Bear in mind that MidSouth is only about 550 miles away.

What bothers me the most (besides a lack of concern by the delivery company) is that we pay a $28 Hazmat fee and such packages are handled so carelessly.

I have usually had very good luck and our delivery people are excellent. It just burned me that Customer Service didn't seem to care and acted like it was MidSouth problem. MidSouth performed great and was as helpful as it was possible for them to be. If this is how they handle Hazmat packages, good luck with the grandkids Christmas presents!

And no, my package didn't share any of the possible Vegas winnings with me.

there are two stories (both gospel truth) that come to mind reading that.
my father had 2 d7 bulldozers travelling on NZ rail and they lost one for a month....it was shunted into a sidling and just sat there till someone asked why.
the 2nd was also NZrail related... first up a bit of background needed....
at one time if you didnt have a job they would sent you down to railway depot for the day hoping you could find something useful to do.
2nd NZis cut in half by a very expensive piece of water knwn as Cook strait.... everything gets freighted across this bit of water via cook strait ferries, cars, trucks and even trains.... back to story,a chap got a bit enthusiastic when shunting at picton wharf and shunted a railway wagon clean off end of wharf into the sea.....being a good honest chap he fessed up and they duely brought in a crane and sent a diver down to connect a hook to lift it out....diver came up and asked which one they wanted as there were about a dozen down there ,some had been there for some time!!!!!!
oh the good old days.
