Yep, thats the logic.
Banning spoons will prevent obesity, prohabition stopped drinking.
Every morning here in oz there are at least 2 shootings reported on the news, weapon of choice is usually a semi auto pistol which have sever restrictions in this country since 1935, the great gun buy back (compulsory acquisition of private property by the government) hasnt seemed to have fixed that.
In the case of school shootings and murder in general, isnt murder against the law?
Obviously more laws will stop further murders.
You guys have a deep seated social problem that causes these things, yet its always the tool that copes the blame, not the cause.
Rant off.

Almost 10% of vehicle accidents involve dunk drivers.
This means more than 90% of accidents are caused by drivers who are sober.
Using socialist 'logic', banning anyone who is sober from driving a vehicle is therefore the correct way forward.

We will see what happens. It is looking like mob-rule around here.

The congress of Washington state passed a bill to ban bump stocks and treat them as a machine gun part. As soon as the governor signs the bill into law if you live in Washington and bought a bump fire stock you are now a felon. They expect all the people who legally purchased the stock to just turn them in...
Anyone remember how many people registered their AR15 in the state of New York?
I won't turn mine in - I mean if I had one I wouldn't.

I haven't seen any data on NY other than 80% of the county sheriffs told the states they would not enforce the law. I did see in Connecticut that only 10-15% of the gun owners with SA rifles registered them.

All good points. Once the government starts banning things, the banned items go underground. In college, a professor used to say that the only way to control anything is to legalize it and then regulate it. It makes me wonder where this twisted banning logic and mob rule will end up. All the best...

The way I figure the police and sheriffs will have to come looking for all the contraband.
Anyone interested in being on that task force?
