It’s a tad warm today in Brisbane...39C (102.2F) and when I got in the car, the onboard thermometer was reading 48C (118.4F).

I’m melting...and my daughter rings me from the UK and says I’m a little cold...it’s 1C and feels like -3C (33.8F - 26.6F). She’s in Inverness Scotland waiting for a boat tour of Loch Ness.

No air con mate...can’t afford to run it...as for beer, yup, there’s enough to keep me happy.

And when it becomes winter you'll be complaining about the cold.

We just had an ice storm last night. Everything is covered in a coating of ice. Trees, grass, vehicles, horses (what the hell were they doing outside? They have a barn.) everything. Nice fire, hot cup of coffee and wife. Yup...We're OK.

At home it's -10C (14F). We had 8 inches of snow and ice pellets fall the night before last, and it's going down to -23C (-9.4F) on Wednesday and Thursday overnight.

I blew out 5 driveways and repaired a snowblower starting at 0700hrs and finished at 1030hrs.

Ah Bushy, not quite.
Winter here in the morning around vinces place maybe as low as 5 deg C
Its usually 20 deg C by lunch, so yeah the poor bastards freezing.
It gets down to -6c where I am but its 20C by lunch.
It was 42 C here yesterday.
Queenslanders have a very low temp tolerance above 26c its too hot, below 26c they put on a jumper and complain how cold it is.
Vince my aircon hasnt been off in nearly a month, and i dont care . I can at least sleep andnot leave huge puddles of sweat on the couch.

Yep, as Pete said...low tolerance for stinking hot melt the tarred roads heat here. Unfortunately I can’t afford air con...too expensive to run in my open plan house, so we sit in front of a fan all day when it’s hot.

I must admit, I do prefer the cooler weather, as you no doubt saw when I was visiting Bushy. The October weather in Missouri was beautiful. Standing in your front landing in just a pair of shorts and no shirt was lovely mate.

My daughter was snowed on in Inverness in Scotland today and she said is was beautiful and could easily live there.

Yeah Pete it was a balmy -23c here in Parry Sound also, mind you when you get to the bay on the base where the wx stn is it is only -14C. It would be nice hunting weather back in Saskatchewan for deer or moose though.lol

Oh I have been outta touch with everything it seems. I have been separated for 18 months. The children are doing fine, swmbo (and this is the last time I will refer to her as that) and I are civil. She is not happy that the kids want me all the time. Colt is five and in S Kindergarten and Alice just turned two and she is right on big brothers tail. So I have been down to zero a couple of times before. There is nothing that I have that I can't get again.... Betcha you didn't expect that answer?! LOL It's all good my friend.I have already won , my children love me and I them so there is nothing else that matters. But I have missed the nut.Merry Christmas to you and the misses.
