But it makes some people feel better. That’s the really important thing. Making someone feel better.

I'm seeing in NC that they've made temporary exceptions for that, currently through Aug 1st.

This is the law that can not be over ridden

The fine print for any mask order may indeed have something to the effect of "... unless the person states they have a medical condition preventing mask use." where many locations require masks, it is my understanding a mask less person merely invoke the exception. The fine print further states no proof is required.

Carry this, just in case (dunno how legit, but neither do they):

Will you wearing a mask stop you getting corona virus?
No
Will you wearing a mask prevent others from contracting whatever it is YOU are carrying?
Yes, to a point., it prevenyts a lot of droplet discharge spread and that is why they ask you to wear them.
Look at the bright side, its now legal to enter a bank with a mask on.

Haven’t been wearing a mask, have no intention of wearing a mask...a waste of time and money. Although Pete brings up a valid point, a mask won’t protect you, but it may protect others.

I have been wearing as a consideration to others. Several studies show it reduces infection rate by 50%. CA, TX, AZ, FL and other states are having exponential spread right now.

This is a quote from another site

" This one is easy to check for yourselves.

Get yourself a cheap Pulse Oxymeter from your local pharmacy. ($15-$30+)

Put it on your finger and check your blood oxygen level.

Now put on your favorite mask, and just breath for a while.

Note your Oxy level after 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes.

15 minutes walking in a store with a common procedure mask brought my Dad to tunnel vision level with sweating and tremmors.
Now when he's forced to wear one, we have the kind with exhalation valves, to reduce CO2 re-breathing. It's better, but his blood oxy level still drops a few percent while masked. "

Under OHSA Rules when the oxygen level drops below 19.5% you have to vacate the area or use an oxygen mask.

Best description of myself I could find . Myself and probably 85-90% of the people I see out shopping or working don't wear a mask . And some I do see haven't a clue on how it's too be worn.

On another note: My wife is a Retired Certified Nurse Practitioner , working part-time at an auto manufacturing plant , they tested over 1,900 workers in the last couple of days,,,,,,, and only 5 tested positive for the virus ! ,,,, now what percent does this make it a pandemic ? Scratch .25% are positive Scratch

2 things you should handle very carefully:

1.: your shoes. They will probably the first to come in contact with the virus, so when you touch your shoes, wash your hands.
2.: your phone. Your hands touch your phone and bring it to your mouth... so never answer your phone in a shoppingcentre.

and for masks: wear them when you go to your medical docter just to respect him (or her).
and yes there are some disadvantages. I went for a check up of my heart (see that I still have one...) Riding on that bike while wearing a mask resulted in the conclusion that my physics went downhill compared to last year... (I have to admit that on these occasions that's about the only time I touch a bike Smile )

The mask isn't intended to protect the wearer from the virus, it's intended to reduce the virus being spread by the wearer. It helps contain airborne droplets from their breath that might contain virus.

I checked the numbers yesterday. What I found is that 99.99467% of the population of Utah has not died of covid19.
