A friend of mine has been hunting with a 7.61 Sharpe & Hart for years. He is running low on factory ammo, and and most of his cases can not be loaded again. Does anybody know of a source for new factory ammo, or new brass?
thanks

Most of his cases cannot be loaded again? Why?
The 7x61 SH was based on a shortened, blown out 300 H&H case- the standard belted magnum case that most of today's belted magnums were made from.
If you can't find 7x61 SH cases, they can be made from 300 H&H cases, although you'll have to fire form them.
I suspect you can make cases from either the 300 Winchester magnum or the 338 Winchester magnum cases, too.
Any reasonably experienced reloader should be able to handle the job.
