I've been using H414 for 90gr speers and 95gr hornadys. I've used 4350 in past with similar results.
Any inputs on generally what has worked best in terms of accuracy and speed?

what has worked for me may not for you.. I did up a couple 43 grain H-414 topped with a nosler 100gr. and was amaised at the accuracy this thing had, of course this was also coming outta a savage, out of yours it may not like them at all..

Every rifle has it's own preferences.
That said, I've had very good results in the 243 with 87-90-95 grain bullets with H414 and 4350- and another really good one is Reloder 19.

I have had good results with H4350 and 100gr Speers, I am going to try it with some 105 gr speers and 100 grain Hornady Interlocks.

I have found WW760 to be a very versatile powder. I have loaded .243, .270, 30-06, 7 mauser, 8X56, .308, and have found highly satisfactory loadings for them all from this one powder. I get good velocity, and good accuracy(slips through a measurer or funnel pretty good too!).

4rum,
Not to surprising. Quite a few folks claim that H-414 and WW-760 are the same powder, in different cans. I have not reserched this myself but it is possible.

I know they're not 243's but close. My sons each have a 6mm Rem and I load IMR 4320 in one and IMR 4895 in the other. They both use a 87gr BTHP bullet and are very accurate.

hmmmm... you may have something, never thought about it. I do have a friend that uses a lot of H-414 and he can get the same wide range of applications with it. He uses it exclusively in his .308.

Ahhhh, the beauty of this site.
Good inputs. Actually the main reason I am using H-414 is it meters nicely. I seem to read more about H4350 being THE powder for 243s. Just trying to see if in makes sense to do more testing. I just can't seem to get the time for the range like I would like to.
I know every gun is different but has anyone seen any significant improvements in performance with one or the other??

H414 is one of my preferred powders in many rifles, including the .243 Win due to metering and fine accuracy with bullets heavier than 80grains. H4350 is one of Hodgdon's extreme series and if your hunting includes significant temperature variation, H4350 will prove more consistent in velocity. It, too, meters well in a good measure and has more bulk which gives better volumetric filling of the case.

For varminting, where I shoot more rounds, I use H414 but for game I like the characteristics of H4350 especially with 90 to 100gr bullets.

I used IMR4350 in .243 some years ago. My measure was an old Bair. Crunching those Lincoln Logs made it hard to get the same 'throw' on the measurer to maintain the consistancy I like. If I used extra time and care in loading (trickling) the cases, it was a very good powder for the .243. I tried WW760, had great success right away, and have since tried that in other calibers. H414 appears to be very similar, just never tried it for .243.
